Mindfulness | Meditation | Buddhism

May you be held in compassion,
may you be safe and well, healed and protected,
may your struggles, your suffering and your fears be eased,
may you live with a compassionate and peaceful heart.

The Mindfulness | Meditation | Buddhism program at All Souls NYC offers a variety of classes and groups to learn about and practice meditation.
"Buddhism and Unitarian Universalism value many of the same things, including experiential practice, study and self-inquiry, mindful awareness cultivation, insightful wisdom development, and loving-kindness, combined with active compassion in the world."

(Lama Surya Das, from the Forward of Buddhist Voices in Unitarian Universalism)
We offer programs online and in person at All Souls.  No experience is necessary.

Our Dharma Partner: Shantideva Center

We treasure the opportunity to offer an introduction to the dharma at All Souls, but we are not a dharma center. We highly recommend attending programs at Shantideva Center and other dharma centers. Our teachers Pamela Patton and Richard Einhorn lead a five-week introduction to Buddhism at Shantideva Center, and there are many other classes and retreats for beginners and practitioners of all levels.

Shantideva Center is dedicated to cultivating wisdom and compassion through the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism.  The center is affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), which is based on the Buddhist tradition of Lama Tsongkhapa as taught by its founders, Lama Thubten Yeshe and Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche.
